The Wine Estate

The Wine Estate Bruch is surrounded by steep slopes and terrace viticulture. As a Vinea-Wachau-member, Martin Bruch grows typical white grape varieties and creates exciting wines.

the Bruch

Family

The family has owned the vineyard since 1910, with Martin being the 4th generation now at its helm. In the past, tending to the vineyard was akin to a weekend escape for Martin. However, the thought of taking it over was not firmly planted in his mind.

Yet, over time, Martin began to recognise the inherent beauty and worth in winemaking, an experience he wouldn't find in any other walk of life. It's the special glint of sunrise when you feel nature communicating with you and the unique sense of accomplishment in creating something. Now, he can't imagine a life doing anything else.

Recognised as one of the world's leading white wine regions, the Wachau's unique combination of steep terraces, the microclimate within the confined Danube valley, and the crisp night air equips us to create wines characterised by their longevity and sustained freshness.
